No overselling, no guesswork — just a Ac Repair crew that diagnoses it right the first time. Same-day appointments available across Hanalei and the surrounding zip codes.
Our Hanalei dispatcher asks a few quick questions to gauge urgency and get you the fastest available window.
Ask as many questions as you want; we'd rather over-explain than leave you unsure.
Most repairs are completed same-visit, and we test the system before we leave to confirm it's actually holding.
Leonard HVAC didn't start as a franchise chasing volume. Our crews carry manufacturer certifications across the major residential and commercial equipment lines.
We're not interested in being the cheapest quote on the page — we're the crew that answers the phone at 2am when your furnace quits in the middle of a cold snap. Licensing and insurance aren't optional line items for us, and we keep that documentation available on request for every job, routine or emergency.
We know which neighborhoods run on older ductwork and which subdivisions were built with newer high-efficiency systems. That local knowledge shapes the parts we stock on the truck — it's the difference between a tech who's guessing and a tech who's seen your exact situation a hundred times before.
Too many homeowners in Hanalei have a story about a tech who showed up late, quoted one price, and charged another. That's the gap we built Leonard HVAC to close. Every dispatcher, every technician, and every follow-up call is held to the same standard, because a customer who trusts us once tends to call us again — and Hanalei is a small enough community that reputation travels fast.
That local context saves time on every call, because we're not starting from zero on basic questions about your neighborhood or your system. We keep parts inventory stocked based on what actually fails most often on Hanalei's housing stock.
Every service below is backed by the same licensing, warranty, and upfront pricing you get on any job we run.
A dead system in the middle of a heat wave or a cold snap isn't just inconvenient — it can be a real safety issue for kids, pets, and older residents. Our Hanalei dispatch team prioritizes no-heat and no-cooling calls so a technician is diagnosing your system as fast as physically possible.
We keep the truck stocked with the parts that fail most often on the equipment common to Hanalei homes, which is exactly why most repairs don't require a return visit.
If your unit is past its expected service life, running loud, or spiking your utility bill, a replacement conversation is worth having. We walk Hanalei homeowners through financing and rebate options where available before a single piece of equipment gets ordered.
Most installs in Hanalei are completed in a single day, and we walk you through the new thermostat and any app controls before we leave.
Commercial equipment operates differently than a residential unit, and it needs technicians who actually understand rooftop packages and multi-zone systems. Our commercial division services multi-zone commercial buildouts across Hanalei, with after-hours work to avoid disrupting business.
Our commercial techs are trained to work around your customers and staff, scheduling noisy or disruptive work outside peak hours whenever possible.
A seasonal tune-up catches the kind of wear that turns into a mid-summer no-cool call. Beyond standard tune-ups, we also handle humidifier, dehumidifier, and air purifier installation for Hanalei households that want more than just temperature control.
A tune-up typically takes under an hour and covers the checkpoints most likely to catch a problem before it becomes a breakdown.
This is the standard every Hanalei technician on our team is held to.
Details vary by job type and are always shared upfront, never buried in fine print.
Emergency dispatch never comes with a hidden surcharge sprung on you after the fact.
A technician doesn't consider the job done until the system is tested and performing correctly.
Most breakdowns don't happen without warning — they announce themselves for weeks before the system actually quits.
Ignoring new noises is one of the fastest ways to turn a small repair into a major one.
Weak airflow from the vents often traces back to a clogged filter, a failing blower motor, or leaking ductwork.
A system working harder than it should to hit the same temperature shows up directly on your utility bill.
A system that won't hold a steady cycle is often fighting a sizing issue, a thermostat problem, or a refrigerant imbalance.
Chemical odors may signal a refrigerant leak, which requires a licensed technician to handle safely.
Repeated repairs on an aging system are usually the clearest sign that replacement will save more money than another patch job.
No inflated "emergency surcharge" games — the number we quote is the number you pay.
Dispatchers give you a realistic arrival window instead of a vague "sometime today".
We don't consider a job finished until the system is actually performing correctly.
Our techs recognize brand-specific quirks instead of learning your system on the job.
We explain what failed, why it failed, and what the options are.
Replacement systems don't have to be paid in one lump sum.

"Our restaurant's rooftop unit went down on a Friday night and they had someone out fast. Documentation for our records was thorough and easy to file."
"Got quotes from four different companies for a replacement and this was the only one that actually walked me through the load calculation. Installation crew was in and out in a day and left the space cleaner than they found it."
"The tech walked me through what he was checking as he went, which I really appreciated. Genuinely relieved to have found a crew that answers when it matters."
After thousands of service calls across Hanalei, a handful of causes show up again and again.
Hanalei's seasonal swings put real stress on a system that isn't maintained regularly. Before the coldest stretch of the year, a heating system benefits from a full safety inspection, checking the heat exchanger, ignition system, and airflow to catch any issue that could turn into a no-heat emergency.
Clearing debris, leaves, and overgrown landscaping away from an outdoor condenser unit gives it room to breathe and keeps it running efficiently. None of this replaces a professional tune-up, but it does reduce the wear that leads to premature breakdowns between visits.
We also service package units common on manufactured and modular homes throughout the Hanalei area. If your system was installed by a different company entirely, that's not a problem — we service equipment regardless of who originally put it in, and we'll pull the model and serial information to confirm parts compatibility before any repair begins.
Every tech on our Hanalei roster goes through background checks, licensing verification, and ongoing manufacturer training.
